About

One of the most active forces in the Church is Kapisanan ng Kabataan Tungo sa Kasakdalan (KKTK) or the Youth Ministry. This over 20-year old special group of unmarried individuals takes active roles in various Church functions such as volunteer and missionary works, theater productions and chorale performance, among others. KKTK aims to instill in the youth the importance of responsibilities, obligations and participation in church activities while awaiting the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

From its former name (Kapisanan ng Kabataan Tungo sa Kabanalan (KKTK), the KKTK is now empowered to “aim for perfection for the greater glory of our Creator.”

Vision and Mission Statement
To embolden the Christian youth to become God’s co-worker (Eclesiastes12:13, Romans 7:12, Micah 6:8, I Corinthians 3:9)
To develop Christian youth who is sanctified to be holy onward perfection (Hebrew 6:1, Jeremiah 30:19-24, Matthew 5:48)

History of KKTK

Kapisanan ng Kabataan Tungo sa Kasakdalan (KKTK) started as a small choir group formed by Brother Edong Erese in July 1985 for the Ang Dating Daan programs upon the instruction of Brother Eli. Seeing this group grow, Brother Eli decided that a youth group be established making its first name Kapisanan ng mga Kabataan Tungo sa Kabanalan based from Jeremiah 30:19-24.

This group, whose first president is Brother Edong Erese, is responsible then with:

  1. KKTK Choir
  2. Construction of Damara on Thanks giving day
  3. Sanitation Committee
  4. Decoration Committee
  5. Food Preparation
  6. Missionary

In 1993, Bro. Jimmy Batac followed as president after Bro. Edong Erese. The election of division and locale officers were also held this year.

In 1994, Bro. Fred Cabanilla became its president.

On December 1997, Brother Daniel Razon established a youth group who will lead the manpower during Thanksgiving days and it was called MMDA KKTK. The groups formed under the KKTK MMDA are:

  1. Ushering Committee
  2. Waste Management Committee
  3. CR Management Committee
  4. Medical Team
  5. Housekeeping Committee
  6. Food Committee
  7. Bike Patrol or Foot Patrol
  8. M.P. Committee

On August 1998, the first national gathering of the youth also known as the National Youth Convention was held. Due to warm reception and massive participation, NYC became an annual youth event joined by the youth members from different divisions.

In 2003, the last word “k” in the acronym KKTK was modified to mean ‘perfection” such that from its former meaning “kabanalan” (holiness), the youth members will be more inspired and enthusiastic in fulfilling duties and responsibilities.
